About Cedarwood Essential Oil
While there are several types of Cedarwood essential oil available on the market, our Cedarwood Atlas is one that has been used throughout history with records of its use predating biblical times. A symbol of strength, wisdom and prosperity, this rich and warm, soft species of cedar has been revered by kings for its lovely sweet, clean scent, with a hint of sap and earth that many find to be relaxing and enjoyable.
Atlas cedarwood boasts a rare and powerful combination of qualities that are both stimulating to the body but calming to the mind. Atlas cedarwood is widely known for its soothing qualities to sore bodies and breath. This woody, delicious oil is a pure delight to the senses.
Cedarwood essential oil is a beautifully calming oil. It is often considered for meditative use as it calms the mind and emotions. It is said to create balance and is useful in assisting with the anxious tension created out of our non-stop lifestyles when diffused or used for inhalation. Well-known for its calming and grounding properties, especially during stressful times, cedarwood can promote feelings of emotional equilibrium.
Cedarwood is one of our most loved oils used to sooth the lungs amid periods of stress and discomfort during the testing winter months. When either you or the children are in need of a lift in body and spirit, combine cedarwood in your diffuser with some eucalyptus, chamomile and lavender to bring the vitality back into your home.
Cedarwood also has an affinity to the hair and skin, as it can help to reduce acne & dandruff, regulate oily skin, and calm the effects of dermatitis, all while softening the skin. When desired, it can be used for its aphrodisiac qualities- so light up the fire and turn on some Barry White.
